1) General biblical references to the experience of teaching;
2) Specifically Christian and Augustinian approaches to the experience of teaching;
3) Christ as exemplar of effective teaching;
4) The senses in which the Doctrine of Discovery is found in Pope Alexander VI’s Dum Diversas;
5) Responding to calls that the Church rescind the Doctrine of Discovery.
