Archdiocese to Ordain Nine of Our Transitional DeaconsJune 01, 2018
Tomorrow morning, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will welcome nine of our graduates into the priesthood as they are ordained by Archbishop Gomez. We ask that you keep these men in your prayers: Egren Gomez, Danilo Guinto, Gilbert Guzman, Ian Hagan, Spencer Lewerenz, John O’Brien, Tommy Roide, Pedro Saucedo and Matthew Wheeler.
In his message in the new issue of the “Angelus,” our Archbishop writes, “Our new priests are men who know that God is alive, our maker and our redeemer, and that he has sent his Son Jesus Christ to make us right with God, to reconcile us and show us the truth of our lives and to gather us into one family to serve and live as a new humanity. And they have a deep desire and passion to get started and to proclaim this good news to the people of our time. ”

And as Bishop-elect and our rector, Marc Trudeau, wrote, “This year’s ordinands are representative of the wonderful diversity we find in the Archdiocese. They are men of faith and insight who have shared leadership at the Seminary and diaconal services in their home parishes.”
Blessings to our ordinands!
