St. John’s Seminary invites you to an evening of informative and thoughtful dialog at our 12th annual Charles Miller Spring Symposium. Our guest presenter, Fr. Giles Dimock, will speak on “Louis Bouyer: Life and Work.”
Fr. Bouyer was a priest, liturgist, historian, ecumenist and writer. He was a consultant to the Second Vatican Council for the liturgy, and in 1969, was chosen by the Pope to be part of the team that began the International Theological Commission.
Our presenter, Fr. Giles, was a teacher of Fr. Bouyer and will share anecdotes from his experience. Fr. Giles, who holds a doctorate in sacred theology, has more than 40 years of teaching experience, including at the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome and the Dominican House of Studies in Washington DC. He is a former columnist for the National Catholic Register and has appeared regularly on ETWN. He is the author of the book, 101 Questions and Answers on the Eucharist, and a contributor to The Catholic Answer Book on Mary.
Admission to the lecture is free, and we ask that you call 805-482-2755, ext. 1104, to RSVP. We hope to have you join us.
